Connect with AzAWH

AzAWH has an extensive network of collaborators both with and outside Arizona State University with partners offering access to wide ranges of expertise, research capacity, additional field sites and high-quality services.

Education and training

We are developing modules and micro-certifications from basic AWH technology operations to in-depth, hands-on training using advanced techniques and data analysis for improved operations.

Core research areas

  • Instrumentation and monitoring of AWH systems in challenging low RH (arid atmosphere) to high RH (cooling tower exhaust) environments
  • Advanced analytics of trace organic chemicals in AWH liquid water
  • Polishing and treatment of collected water
  • Dew-point condensation and desiccant AWH technologies, and integrated hybrid-systems
  • Desiccant material characterization
  • Technoeconomic analysis and lifecycle assessments
  • Integration of AWH with energy systems (e.g., hydrogen) or carbon capture.
  • Support of testing for SBIR/STTR or other competitive funding
  • Long-term operation demonstrations
