Education and training
We are developing modules and micro-certifications from basic AWH technology operations to in-depth, hands-on training using advanced techniques and data analysis for improved operations.
Core research areas
- Instrumentation and monitoring of AWH systems in challenging low RH (arid atmosphere) to high RH (cooling tower exhaust) environments
- Advanced analytics of trace organic chemicals in AWH liquid water
- Polishing and treatment of collected water
- Dew-point condensation and desiccant AWH technologies, and integrated hybrid-systems
- Desiccant material characterization
- Technoeconomic analysis and lifecycle assessments
- Integration of AWH with energy systems (e.g., hydrogen) or carbon capture.
- Support of testing for SBIR/STTR or other competitive funding
- Long-term operation demonstrations
